Restorative Practice assists people in conflict with each other to manage and resolve the impact of their conflict on each other, while practising restoratively creates a culture where it is much less likely for conflict to occur in unhealthy and damaging ways.

This course builds on the theories and practice skills covered in our foundation level "Introduction to Restorative Practices in Education Settings" and has all the benefits of that course with the added value of being packed full of:

  • case studies,
  • videos of restorative practice in action (including circles and conferences),
  • commentary from students and teachers already using restorative practices in their schools
  • as well as interactive practice challenges on which you can receive specific feedback once submitted.

By the end of this course you will be able to competently use:

  • restorative language,
  • restorative enquiry,
  • restorative conversations
  • as well as having a solid theoretical appreciation of restorative circles and conferences.

Linda Sayers, Trainer from Sayers Training Services

Linda Sayers

I'm a Social Worker with over 20 years experience in working with children and families in restorative practice settings.

I have been training educators in how to resolve conflict in education settings for over 5 years and have worked with thousands of teachers and education staff to help them reduce the incidents of conflict in their schools and develop higher levels of confidence in dealing with conflict when it does arise.

Whether you are challenged by difficult to teach children, their parents or perhaps even exhausted and demoralised teaching staff, this course will help you build the skills to think about, and engage, those who command most of your time and thoughts in the classroom, the corridors, the playground, and beyond.
